- Let me clarify before someone jumps on my tail. The SPARCprinter is not a
- PostScript printer, it is a raster engine, that has all of the rastering done
- in the SPARCstation. The output is then sent to the SPARCprinter via the
- Sbus interface card. All of the rastering is done via NeWSprint. NeWSprint
- has TranScript-like qualities, like enscript.

- While the TranScript package can be used to manipulate PostScript, it cannot
- talk directly to the printer. The output must be sent to NeWSprint in order
- to be printed (indirectly done with lpr, which does the NeWSprint filter
- calling). So, in the end, having TranScript running while using NeWSprint
- is a total waste of money and resources.
