  20. Are you sure the media you are using is compatible with the drive?  We
  21. recently purchased two Pioneer drives for our SPARC 2's.  I attempted
  22. to format an optical disk that I had, and was unsuccessfull.  So I called
  23. the drive people, and they explained that optical disks have no "standard'
  24. format at this time (like floppies, etc.).  He did tell me which disks
  25. were compatible.  I use the DEC-702 made by Pioneer and now have no problems.
  26. He also explained that there are two main types of opt. disks and I forget
  27. what those are.  Sorry I have no hard, fast answers for you, but hope
  28. this helps!
