- Are you sure the media you are using is compatible with the drive? We
- recently purchased two Pioneer drives for our SPARC 2's. I attempted
- to format an optical disk that I had, and was unsuccessfull. So I called
- the drive people, and they explained that optical disks have no "standard'
- format at this time (like floppies, etc.). He did tell me which disks
- were compatible. I use the DEC-702 made by Pioneer and now have no problems.
- He also explained that there are two main types of opt. disks and I forget
- what those are. Sorry I have no hard, fast answers for you, but hope
- this helps!
