  13. I've problems installing an HP 4mm DAT on a SparcStation 1+.
  14. DAT data have been included in the kernel as needed
  15. Here follows a part of the messages at boot time: the scsi Target 3
  16. (disk sd0) has been included because it's referenced later, the DAT 
  17. is scsi Target 5 as shown below.

  29. The scsi chain also includes a QIC-150 tape as st0 not shown above. 
  30. First strange behaviour: Target 5 is "Synchronous", something I expected 
  31. from disks and not from tapes (the QIC-150 is not declared as Synchronous).

  33. At bootstrap time the DAT was switched off.

  35. Now exactly when I switch on the DAT I get the following 
  36. messages on the console:

  51. And whenever I try to do something on the DAT tape, I get the following:
