  11. Hello,
  12. we have an Indigo 4000 Elan in our institute. A few days or so we hooked
  13. up a second X-terminal to it, so that there are now three persons working
  14. on this machine. As a result, we got errors from cron saying that a process
  15. couldn't be forked. 'ps' showed (shortly after that) a total of 91
  16. processes running. My question:
  17. Does
  18. #define NPROC 96                /* # processes */
  19. in /usr/sysgen/master.d/kernel indeed define the maximum number of processes ?
  20. If so, can I just increase this number and do a 'autoconfig -f' ?
