  19. ACE is dead.  It died the last little bit when Compaq decided that
  20. they weren't interested.  Sure, the consortium still exists, and
  21. people may declare that their systems or software are ACE compliant,
  22. but basicly, nobody will care.

  28. I don't think there are any.  NT sort of comes close to what was
  29. envisioned as an O/S, but not really.  There are some ACE specifications
  30. on hardware and software interfaces, but I don't know where you would
  31. go to get them, and I suspect it is completely irrelevant to any
  32. machine you might buy.
