  11.      In a word, NO!  It would NOT be better.  Keep dps_dev in IDO.  Keep DPS
  12. as part of the normal/standard system.  Do NOT put dps_dev or DPS in the Laser
  13. Printer Support package.  I have a VERY hard time trying to justify buying LPS.
  14. With IRIX 4.0.X, SGI is suppose to be shipping a utility to convert regular
  15. text to PostScript (I can't remember the name of the utility at the momemnt),
  16. and LPS is essentialy just Transcript, I really can't see the need for LPS.
  17. However, I DO see the need for DPS.  It would be nice if DWB was part of the
  18. normal/standard system and not an added cost.  It would be great if the people
  19. in California would make things more clear as to what comes with the standard
  20. system and what comes with each package.  Even our sales reps. have problems
  21. with this because they get conflicting information from California.
