- In a word, NO! It would NOT be better. Keep dps_dev in IDO. Keep DPS
- as part of the normal/standard system. Do NOT put dps_dev or DPS in the Laser
- Printer Support package. I have a VERY hard time trying to justify buying LPS.
- With IRIX 4.0.X, SGI is suppose to be shipping a utility to convert regular
- text to PostScript (I can't remember the name of the utility at the momemnt),
- and LPS is essentialy just Transcript, I really can't see the need for LPS.
- However, I DO see the need for DPS. It would be nice if DWB was part of the
- normal/standard system and not an added cost. It would be great if the people
- in California would make things more clear as to what comes with the standard
- system and what comes with each package. Even our sales reps. have problems
- with this because they get conflicting information from California.
