  10. I've come across a failure of the su command to actually set the uid,
  11. but doesn't report the failure.  The situation is this:

  13. A directory on an NFS mounted file system (exported rw, no restrictions)
  14. is owned by me, owned by a group that my Indigo doesn't know about, is
  15. mode 2750.

  19. I am not a member of group 1558 as far as my Indigo knows, either.  When
  20. inside this directory, a plain 'su' command reads the root password but fails
  21. to set uid=0 and doesn't say anything.  Is does return status 1, however.
