- I'm sorry if you were upset by this response. I appreciate
- your desire to see QuickTime on our platform, but the reality
- of the situation is that in order for it to be a product that
- you're going to be able to use, we have to invest a significant
- amount of engineering effort into making it work well, and
- integrated with the movie software which is already available
- on our system.

- Finally, SGI employs me to design and develop software
- products. SGI does not employ me to provide ship dates for
- unreleased products on Usenet, and in fact many people at SGI
- would get quite upset with me were I to do so.
