- The original contract was arranged by marketing people who also made
- all the fanfare. Since then we have been facing the engineering
- reality. The C source code we received from Apple is incredibly Macintosh
- specific and difficult to port. The compression code is all written in 68xxx
- assembler. We are essentially having to write rather than port the quicktime
- code. There will be no further announcements until we have a product to
- ship.
