- I've got a new Indigo R4000 which won't compile FORTRAN programs.
-
- Error messages are:
-
- Fatal error in: /usr/lib/uopt Signal 10 - core dumped
- or
- Fatal error in: /usr/lib/uopt Signal 11 - core dumped
-
- Versions shows:
-
- I c 12/17/92 Ansi C, 3.10
- I dev 12/17/92 Development System, 4.1
- I eoe1 09/18/92 Execution Only Environment 1, 4.0.5F
- I eoe2 12/18/92 Execution Only Environment 2, 4.0.5F
- I ftn 12/17/92 Fortran 77, 3.4.1
-
- etc.
-
- Even trivial programs don't compile.
-
- I remember seeing stuff in the newsgroup about this for earlier versions
- of Irix, but I thought this was fixed in 4.0.5. The ftn compiler I
- installed from the CD which we got for our 4D/360 (the Indigo has licenses
- but doesn't get its own media) - is there a separate version for the R4K?
-
- I just noticed that on the 360 we have version 4.0.1 of the Development
- System rather than 4.1 - and things compile fine there.
-
- Should I upgrade the 360 dev to 4.1? Downgrade the Indigo dev to 4.0.1?
- Or should I just call the TAC?
