  32. 16 is the arcs ENOMEM.  Sounds like the ide in the volume header
  33. may have been trashed.

  39. I assume you mean you can boot from CD; it certainly shouldn't boot
  40. from disk if the upgrade was completed OK.

  42. I've not heard of people having these problems before; perhaps you
  43. can describe what, if anything,  you did after installing the new
  44. software that might have been 'unusual'.
