  15. I am trying to upgrade an Indigo Elan from R3000 to R4000 and have run
  16. into a bit of a problem: when I try to boot the machine (with R4000)
  17. installed, I get the following error message:

  19.   Cannot load scsi(0)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(8)/sash
  20.   Unable to load bootfile: not enough space
  21.  
  22. Also, if I try running diagnostics from the PROM monitor, I get:

  24.   Cannot load scsi(0)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(8)ide
  25.   Error 16 while loading scsi(0)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(8)ide

  27. I have no problem booting the machine from CD (which I did to upgrade
  28. to 4.0.5F). Also, if I replace the old R3000 board, the machine boots
  29. fine as well.

  31. Any suggestions?
