-
- LPS *is* Transcript. As you say, there is no need to give Adobe
- royalties for something which can be included in the base O/S for
- free, with the advanced features included in Impressario.

-
- Ever play 'telephone'? I agree, DWB (and a number of other packages)
- should be free and bundled, but we have to pay royalties on a number
- of them. That brings the base price of our systems up, which hits
- everyone regardless of whether they actually use the royalty-laden
- products.
-
- The only real solution is to find or build free versions. Both take
- time which is often considered better spent getting the latest and
- greatest out, rather than solving old problems.
-
- I think all this is a perennial problem of all companies. There
- simply aren't enough hands to keep every need fulfilled.
-
- I hope that we are doing a good job prioritizing the needs. If you
- really consider having DWB for free a top priority over new compilers,
- graphics, hardware, O/S fixes, etc., please let us know. And please
- do continue to tell us what you want, in any event. We do listen!
