  12. Hi,
  13. We have a SGI Indigo with 48MB.  Every once in a while, the machine seems
  14. to pause/halt briefly.  For example, while you're typing away in a vi
  15. session, it would stop responding for anywhere from 1 sec upto several minutes
  16. before continuing.  There are no CPU intensive processes running, nor is there 
  17. any out-of-control processes.  This machine is used by single person, and
  18. he usally has a few windows open to do latex, read mail, preview
  19. postscript, etc.   Is there any known problem with the OS or hardware that
  20. will exhibit this kind of behavior?  If not, what tools/methods can I
  21. employ to track down the cause?  I'm mostly SunOS person and have little
  22. experience with tools available for SGI machines.
