- I've got two 1 MB RAM cards. One (B:) has PERL, plus the 20 or so
- most useful (IMHO) commands from the MKS toolkit (their licsense
- allows installation on multiple machines, as long as only one is
- in use at a time).
-
- The other card (A:) has user data, files, and some network stuff.
- I expect to keep the binaries on B. But when 2MB cards come down
- in $$$, I'll probably put /bin and the network stuff on one of them,
- and use the two 1MBs for apps and data.
-
- Do you know if SunDisk will be writeable on the ZEOS or read-only ?
-
- I'm still having some problems getting Beame & Whiteside NFS to work
- on the ZEOS with the SOLECTEK pocket LAN adapter. The program BWSHOW
- says there is -2000 Kbytes of extended(expanded?) RAM. Yes, negative.
- This may be because the ZEOS doesn't do memory mapping, or because the
- files were installed on a different machine and then copied. (free demo)
- Interlink lets you mount another machine's floppy to the ZEOS via the
- serial port at 115.2 Kbps. But there isn't enough space on a 1 MB card
- for the installation script to continue.
-
- I too would like to know if there is a program to turn the serial port
- on and off - doing it through the menu is a pain. As far as the built in
- software is concerned, the utility menu (serial port & interserver) is
- the only stuff I've used.
