- I'm not sure if this relates to your problem or not, but it may be a piece
- to the puzzle. We, too, had problems with a PS/2 Model 80 as a server. In
- our case (and with several other installations here in Springfield), the
- problem was with disk mirroring or duplexing--although the server did not
- crash, if you took it down, it would not come back up due to the disks being
- out of sync.

- The solution in our case was to use IBM's _caching_ disk controller cards.
- The non-caching cards that came standard with the Model 80 DO NOT WORK
- PROPERLY with Novell. Neither IBM nor Novell was able to come up with a
- definitive reason why this is the case, but we've been running with the
- caching cards now for about 2 years with *no* downtime.
