  10. I am trying to activate ODINSUP and am having only - ahm - limited
  11. luck.

  13. I am a former user of normal NDIS stack. What I did is to remove
  14. the MAC driver for my (SMC) Ethernet NIC, and change the bindings
  15. to it in PROTOCOL.INI to point at the ODI MLID name. I boot, then
  16. load:

  19. SMC8000
  20. ODINSUP
  21. NETBIND
  22.  
  23. All seems to be coming up fine. I even, just for the heck of it (and
  24. to test things, of course..), left DIS_PKT in the NDIS stack. I ran
  25. CUTCP on to of this tall pile - and it worked.

  27. That is the good news.

  29. The bad news is, that my "real" NDIS client, which is IBM's PC/3270
  30. running on top of LAN Support Program V1.23, just won't play ball.
  31. It does work (via DXME0MOD) with the older setup; it just won't connect
  32. in the new setup. Says something about connection failure (COMM 686).

  34. Also on the same vein, I tried to run a Netbios network on top of
  35. all that (DXMT0MOD is the Netbios, Lantastic is the network). I do
  36. it all the time with NDIS, and it works great. Here it would not connect.

  38. Does anyone have any idea where to start? It's kind of confusing, since
  39. the ODI stack works fine (LWP4DOS), even DIS_PKT works fine - just the
  40. IBM LAN Support Program drivers seem to burp.
