- : Hello,
- :
- : I am working with a customer that is currently running Netware 3.11 with
- : the NFS 1.2 package, which is connected with an SCO UNIX (3.2.4.1) machine
- : running TCP/IP 1.2.0. The problem I can't seem to figure out is that when
- : print job is queued on the UNIX machine that will be printed from the
- : NW3.11 print queue, it always seems to get an additional form feed when
- : the job is printed, needless to say this wastes a LOT of additional paper.
- :
- : On the unix side, rlp seems to just hand the job off the the NW3.11 system,
- : so I don't see how I can change things on the UNIX side. What I need to know
- : is if there is some option or flag on the UNIX or NOVELL side I can use that
- : will supress the additional formfeed. Any help with this would be most
- : appreicated...
-
- THe suppression of formfeeds and banners are strictly controlled from the
- Unix/LPD client. Therefore you must issues a lpr -J/nff if you want
- to suppress FormFeeds from an LPD client, check with SCO documentation
- to be sure of the correct syntax.
-
- Also make sure that when you configured PLPDCFG, the print queue you are
- using doesn't have a MODE defined that would introduce a FormFeed
- at that point. Best way to go about this is to leave the MODE line blank
- under PRINT QUEUES FOR USE.
