- Are you perhaps expecting too much? 9600 bps is less than 1/1000th of
- Ethernets' data rate. It's going to take much longer, particulalry
- if you're trying to run any kind of graphics, over such a link.

- I suspect the problem is too much data trying to be stuffed through
- too small a pipe. (I hate Windows, menus, pop-up-pull-down-exploding
- screens, and all that. Incredible waste of resources. :-) )

- There are async servers, that will function basically the same as
- your Shiva. Novell has one (something like NACS comes to mind), and
- there're some others. I really doubt, though, that they'll solve your
- problem.
