- I use a Macintosh to create image files for processing by a PC.
- Without having to rename the Macintosh up to 31 character filenames
- to the MS-DOS's more restrictive 8.3 filename.filetype scheme, does
- anyone know how Novell does it for the LAN? I want to just move a
- selected subset of images from a photo archive into a Macintosh folder,
- generate a report correlating Macintosh image filenames along with a
- description of the selected images, and then use that report on the
- PC connected to the same LAN as the Macintosh to process those images.
- Anyone have an answer? Is there any documentation on how Novell does it?
- Thanks in advance. I'm just a LAN novice, so don't flame me.
