- We have installed a BOOTP.NLM freeware by Hellsoft (University of Pragua
- I guess) and it .Works like a charm...Simply need a name RESOLVER.NLM also
- available from the same site.
-
- All our TCPIP software (NCSA verion 2.3.05 (not before !) Wtacom suite,
- Popmail,Trumpet,Gopher and IRC do get their IP address out of our Novell
- server. NOT OUT of a central BOOTP server.
- We started by a configuration file (as expalined in the doc's) that
- has the ethernet address ,IP's and Intenet names of the workstation
- until we found that it does also DYNAMIC IP & name assignment !
- No fuss no hassle. We just forgot about it and it works cleanly...
-
- I yu want to give it a go ftp to novell.felk.cvut.cs and grap
- BOOTPxx.ZIp and RESOLVxx.ZIP .
