- Get someone else to pay for it.
-
- I'm not kidding.
-
- The tests alone will set you back $490. And that's assuming you pass each
- test on the first try. The study guides aren't cheap. The computer based
- tutorials are a rip off. The courses are a complete racket. Be prepared to
- spend lots of time studying very esoteric commands (LISTDIR? I've never even
- *used* LISTDIR...), and all the possible add-on products (Netware FTAM? You
- gotta be freaking kidding me man...OSI is dead!).
-
- I just failed Advanced System Manager 3.11 today. For the second time. I am
- so mad I could chew the kneecaps off the nearest Novell representative. I
- studied for three days. I've been working with 3.11 since 1990. I'm a member
- of the Professional Developers Program. I've written programs that do
- terrible things to the bindery. I totally nailed the TCP/IP and NFS tests,
- and I CAN'T PASS THIS GODDAM TEST!
-
- It's the last test I have left before I get my CNE, which makes it that much
- worse, y'know?
-
- ...so I'm having my company pay to send me to the Adv. Sys. Mgr. class and
- just give in to the racket. Such bullshit.
