  22. The tests alone will set you back $490.  And that's assuming you pass each
  23. test on the first try.  The study guides aren't cheap.  The computer based
  24. tutorials are a rip off.  The courses are a complete racket.  Be prepared to
  25. spend lots of time studying very esoteric commands (LISTDIR?  I've never even
  26. *used* LISTDIR...), and all the possible add-on products (Netware FTAM?  You
  27. gotta be freaking kidding me man...OSI is dead!).

  29. I just failed Advanced System Manager 3.11 today.  For the second time.  I am
  30. so mad I could chew the kneecaps off the nearest Novell representative.  I
  31. studied for three days.  I've been working with 3.11 since 1990.  I'm a member
  32. of the Professional Developers Program.  I've written programs that do
  33. terrible things to the bindery.  I totally nailed the TCP/IP and NFS tests,
  34. and I CAN'T PASS THIS GODDAM TEST!

  36. It's the last test I have left before I get my CNE, which makes it that much 
  37. worse, y'know?

  39. ...so I'm having my company pay to send me to the Adv. Sys. Mgr. class and
  40. just give in to the racket.  Such bullshit.
