  11. Thanks to all those who replied to my previous request. I thought I'd 
  12. summarise the replies I received for anyone interested.

  14. 1. In the latest NOVELL patches 311ptc.zip, there is an NLM called SYNCTIME. 
  15. This periodically syncs the server time to the hardware clock. If your 
  16. hardware clock is accurate but the server loses time, this is what you need.
  17.  
  18. 2. A set of NLMs called TM (Time Master) and TS (Time Slave) allow one 
  19. Netware server to act as a Time Server for other file servers. This is 
  20. shareware. Look for TIM_SY.ZIP. It is apparently on splicer.cba.hawaii.edu 
  21. but I got it off tribble.missouri.edu in directory pub.

  23. 3. A PD NLM called RDATE will set the time from a UNIX timeserver. You will 
  24. need TCPIP loaded to use this NLM. It uses the Netware TIMEZONE setting. 
  25. According to the manual, this TIMEZONE setting appears to support integral 
  26. hours only and thus would appear to be useless to anyone who lives in a time 
  27. zone that is not an integral number of hours away from GMT (eg South 
  28. Australia and Afghanistan).

  30. If I am wrong about the Netware TIMEZONE setting, I would like to know. If I 
  31. am right, perhaps NOVELL would like to remedy this shortcoming. I doubt that 
  32. there are many NOVELL networks in Afghanistan but there are a fair number in 
  33. South Australia.
