- Also, if there's already a "Frame Ethernet_802.3" line in the Link
- Driver section, it should be removed.

- NetWare v3.x servers can support both frame types at the same time on the
- same network through a single NIC. If you have a NetWare v3.11 server,
- you should make it support ethernet_ii on the network before you change
- any of the DOS machines. You do this by loading the NIC's driver a second
- time with the same hardware parameters but with "frame=ethernet_ii" and
- specifying a different name. Then bind IPX to the new framing by using
- the new name. A *different* IPX network number must be used for each of
- the two frame types. You can do this without taking the file server down.
-
- Once you have a NetWare v3.11 server routing between the two frame types,
- then you can switch all the other nodes over one by one at your leisure.
- The NetWare v3.11 router will let all the machines using one frame type
- communicate with all the machines using the other frame type. This will
- be a little less efficient than if everyone's running the same frame type,
- though, so you'd rather not operate this way indefinitely.

- Make sure not to overlook any machines in your plans. Standalone print
- servers, for example, can be sometimes be forgotten.
-
- Also, if you boot any of your machines over the network, you need to
- worry about the boot proms. They often use ethernet_802.3 framing.
