>Yep, for sure. Use 3Com cards, too, where possible - their degredation on network signals is very small and therefore (from my experience), we've been able to push the IEEE limitation of cabling lengths, number of workstations, etc. far beyond what is n>rmally considered 'sane'. :-)

I don't know about beating it, but we used to run 85 machines on a single
386 server with 2 3c505 boards and about 250 ft cable each, using 2.0a :-)
