- One of my users has had a wierd problem show up this afternoon.
- He's on a 10Base2 segement, bridged to a 10Base2 backbone. There
- are a total of 10 servers on the backbone, 8 of which are NW 3.11 and
- 2 are 2.1x.
-
- He's getting "No response from file server" when trying to log into
- one specific server (GROUNDHOG), and slist does not show one other
- server (ENG_FS2). GROUNDHOG *is* visible with slist, and he can log
- into other servers (MARIO sitting next to GROUNDHOG and ENG_FS1
- next to ENG_FS2) without any problem. The segement is not over the
- length or connection limits, and the problem persists after
- rebooting the bridge. (This user is near the end of the segement
- away from the bridge, which is a 286 with 2 WD8003Es running PC-Bridge.)
- Another workstation on the segement has no trouble slisting or logging
- onto any other server. I can't see this as a cable fault, but there
- haven't been any configuration changes to my knowledge either.
-
- Any suggestions?
