- You've actually run into two different problems here. First, LANalyzer
- does require promiscuous mode drivers, so you must use the drivers that come
- with the product or MORE recent versions, not older versions. If you are
- using incorrect drivers, then loading di.com (before starting Windows) will
- cause error messages about the driver being unsupported.
- Secondly, you found a minor, but embarrassing bug in our 1.0 release.
- This is the first January for the 1.0 release, since it came out last spring,
- and there is a bug that causes large numbers of false alarms to occur in
- January of any year :-(. How we managed to do this is a long story, but
- it was noticed on Monday January 4th, fixed on Tuesday the 5th, and the fix
- was available on Wednesday the 6th, after we tested other dates.
- The fix is available on Compu$erve, in NovLib under the file name
- squery6.zip (I think). If you don't have Compu$erve access, send me
- email and I'll try to make sure that it appears in one of our FTP sites,
- if its not there already. A temporary workaround is to set your machine's
- date forward one month to February.
