- I am administering a small Novall network and I am very new at it.
- Currently I have one of our workstations with an inexpensive tape drive
- attached to it. I have been doing backups of the Novell server on the
- workstation tape drive using an the "Tape" application. I have run into
- problems with the tape software indicating to me that it would not be able
- to preserve the Novell permissions. How do people generally do backups of
- their Novell server? I understand that there are NLM's that would allow
- me to directly hookup a tape drive to the server. What advantage would
- such a setup have over using the workstation? I should mention also that
- the server is running Netware 3.11 on a 486.
-
- thanks in advance
