- A local user is thinking of buying some NeXT's to augment the work they
- already do on some Vax's running VMS. Most of the data they have is
- currently on the VMS systems, and he was wondering how easy it is for NeXT's
- and VMS systems to share data. Does VMS support NFS, for instance? Are the
- line-ending characters the same in VMS as they are in Unix/NeXT land?
-
- He asked me, and since I have never worked with a VMS system I figured I'd
- ask the net. For anyone who is using NeXT's with VMS systems, how well do
- they work together? I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has done this
- already. Either reply to me (email) or just follow-up. I'll summarize what
- email messages I receive.
-
- Thanks.
