  13. I need a class (or just some functions) that will efficiently implement  
  14. something like what the X-Library calls 'Regions'.  If this has not been done  
  15. already, then I'll probably do it and submit it if there is any interest, but I  
  16. would prefer just to grab it from somebody else if this is possible.
