- I am planning on purchasing a backup removable disk media for my NeXT and I
- was wondering which media has a longer life: optical or magnetic. I was told
- by some that optical media has a shelf life of around 10 to 15 years after
- which it may start losing bits. I was told by one disk distributor that
- optical has a longer shelf life than magnetic. But then I was told the exact
- opposite by another. Does anyone have any info confirming which has a longer
- shelf life?
