  12. I am planning on purchasing a backup removable disk media for my NeXT and I
  13. was wondering which media has a longer life: optical or magnetic. I was told
  14. by some that optical media has a shelf life of around 10 to 15 years after
  15. which it may start losing bits. I was told by one disk distributor that
  16. optical has a longer shelf life than magnetic. But then I was told the exact
  17. opposite by another. Does anyone have any info confirming which has a longer
  18. shelf life?
