  16. I've decided to expand the memory in my cube.  
  17. I ran the ROM monitor program and displayed the
  18. memory configuration.  It said something like
  19. SLOTS 0-3 have 4MB paged memory
  20. SLOTS 4-7 have 4MB paged memory
  21. SLOTS 8-11 have 0 memory
  22. SLOTS 12-15 have 0 memory.

  24. I have a couple questions regarding the addition
  25. of SIMMS.
  26.  
  27. 1) After reading the FAQ, I understand that SIMMs must
  28. be added in sets of 4.
  29.  
  30. Does this mean a set of 4 identical capacity SIMMs?
  31. Like can I add 2 1MB SIMMs and 2 4MB SIMMs to
  32. make a set of four?  (My guess is NO, the must all
  33. be of the same capacity.)

  35. 2)  Can I buy a set of 4 4MB SIMMs and add them
  36. to slots 8-11?  Or should I add them in slots
  37. 0-3 and move the 1MB SIMMS currently in those
  38. slots to slots 8-11?  Does it matter??

  40. 3) Is the FAQ current with regard to vendors
  41. selling the appropriate types of SIMMS that
  42. work on the 68040 board??  Any other places to try??
