  12. and formatting to a laser printer?

  14. While installing psroff3.0,
  15. on both a 3447, 3550, 3600 and StarServer E,
  16. I could find a troff (apparently ditroff type)
  17. but no ditroff.

  19. NCR people, I am sure you must be typesetting
  20. troff, right?

  25. PS: Might be old news for some ...
  26. The stock syslogd daemon has a serious bug when it writes
  27. to a user. This bug seems to be pervasive to all SVR4
  28. systems, it was also present on a Sun Solaris machine.
  29. Bug description: syslogd forks off when writting to user
  30. without waiting for the child, and zombie processes accumulate.
  31. Can fill the process table and crash the system. It happened
  32. on a 3550 with over 400 users ...
  33. Fix: Get the excellent svr4 port of BSD syslogd by Marc Boucher 
  34. Compiles fine  and does not have the bug.
