  12. I've been wondering for some time now how to read scancodes from the console of
  13. an NCR 3000 series machine (running SVR4).  In particular, what I want to do
  14. is detect when, say, the Control or Alt keys are pressed.

  16. Now, I've gleaned from the system manuals that some cunning combination of
  17. <sys/kd.h> and ioctl() is going to be required - unfortunately, my attempts
  18. to date have resulted mainly in dead consoles :-(
