- Involving those damaged font suitcases: I tried two things, neither of which
- worked. First, I tried the Font DA mover v. 4.1. It consistently "unexpectedly
- quit." (Apple needs do design a new dialogue box for that-- after three or
- four tries it was not so unexpected after all... :) )
-
- Then, I tried ResEdit. I verified the files, and they checked out okay. So I
- copied the resources from the damaged suitcase to a new empty one. When I
- tried to open this new suitcase, same deal. Damaged. If I tried to open
- anything inside the FONT resource, ResEdit--- you guessed it-- "enexpectedly"
- quit. Uncannily predictable, eh?
-
- Then I noticed that all my damaged suitcases had FONT resources, while all the
- functioning oned had NFNT resources. What's the difference here? Could that be
- the problem.
-
- Curious,
- Matt
