  10.     One of System 7(.01)'s oddities is that upon a reboot, the desktop often
  11. appears in an earlier state than when the reboot occurred.  Sometimes deleted 
  12. files even reappear.

  14.     Is there some way of forcing the system/finder/whatever is in charge to
  15. update the current state of the desktop?
