  12. I have a Mac. SE/30 with System 7.0. So far, I have been having no
  13. trouble at all but recently I've been having problems with emptying
  14. the trash. For some unknown reason, I am unable to clear the contents
  15. of the trash (even if I select "Empty Trash...") from the Special
  16. Menu. Instead I get an error message saying "The item *** could not be
  17. deleted because it contains items that are in use". Ok...so I quit all
  18. applications and repeat the procedure again. Still the same message
  19. appears. The surprising thing is that the items in the trash are all
  20. empty folders. Why am I unable to clear the trash ?
