- Try this: 1) create an icon and assign it to a file or folder (there are
- many ways to do this); 2) select file or folder and do "Get Info" on it;
- 3) go to the upper left corner of the "Get Info" window and click on the icon;
- 4) "Copy" the icon; 5) do a "Get Info" on your HD; 6) click on the icon in the
- HD "Get Info" window; 7) "Paste" to the icon. This should replace the HD icon
- with a copy of your new icon. Works for me.
