- You didn't break anything. You've merely been afflicted with the Curse of
- the IISi. This machine seems to have numerous problems with the sound.
- Some people have suggested cleaning the speaker contacts. The only
- permanant solution is to buy you a set of Walkman speakers to plug into
- your sound output jack.

- This problem is an AIDES problem (Apple Induced DEfectS). They know
- there's a problem, but since they all ready have your money they don't
- care.

- By the way, I don't think I would take my machine to the idiots that
- suggested replacing the sound chip. They probably aren't competent to do
- it, and even if they are they would be ripping you off. I might look for
- another service outlet.
