  45. You didn't break anything.  You've merely been afflicted with the Curse of  
  46. the IISi.  This machine seems to have numerous problems with the sound.   
  47. Some people have suggested cleaning the speaker contacts.  The only  
  48. permanant solution is to buy you a set of Walkman speakers to plug into  
  49. your sound output jack.

  51. This problem is an AIDES problem (Apple Induced DEfectS).  They know  
  52. there's a problem, but since they all ready have your money they don't  
  53. care.

  55. By the way, I don't think I would take my machine to the idiots that  
  56. suggested replacing the sound chip.  They probably aren't competent to do  
  57. it, and even if they are they would be ripping you off.  I might look for  
  58. another service outlet.
