- I had this same problem, but you may not like my fix. It happened when I
- had both the TrueType and bitmap versions of Monaco in the System file. I
- removed the TrueType Monaco and everything's been fine. I'm not sure
- whether the problem was in the TrueType font or in the coexistence of both
- versions in the System.
