  17. I had this same problem, but you may not like my fix.  It happened when I  
  18. had both the TrueType and bitmap versions of Monaco in the System file.  I  
  19. removed the TrueType Monaco and everything's been fine. I'm not sure  
  20. whether the problem was in the TrueType font or in the coexistence of both  
  21. versions in the System.
