- I'm not sure what you mean by this question. The SW II has a built-in paper
- feeder that holds up to 100 sheets of paper or 15 envelopes. You can do
- a "manual" feed by putting a single sheet of paper into the paper feeder.
- When the printer is about to print a sheet, it feeds the sheet into the
- rollers, advances it a short distance, backs it up, then begins printing.
- I assume this is to assure that the top of the page is recognized correctly
- and that the paper is aligned correctly.
-
- When you print envelopes, you have to flip two levers, one on the outside
- of the machine, and one under the same door you use to access the ink
- cartridge. By the way, it does a beautiful job on envelopes. Under page
- setup, you can choose the envelope size. Your word processing program
- will then adjust itself to make the page size the size of the envelope.
- A word processor with print preview (Word, WriteNow, etc.) helps so you
- can see where the return address and mailing address are going to be on
- the envelope before you print it. I can now get rid of my clunky old
- electric typewriter, which I used only to address envelopes.
