  17. This is excellent (and free) software that provides Installer scripts to
  18. modify the LaserWriter drivers to include many enhancements, including
  19. serial communication support via the printer port or modem port.

  21. Note, on my Mac (IIci, System 7.1) I had to put the package on my boot
  22. drive (rather than my external drive) to get the serial support installer
  23. script to work. Your mileage may vary, but any quirks you run into are
  24. almost certainly the fault of Apple's Installer program (it's too picky
  25. and tempermental).
