- In article <1jke06INNbgi@rameau.cs.unc.edu> ohbuchi@cs.unc.edu (Ryutarou Ohbuchi) writes:
-
- I have been trying to print a document that contains PICT/EPS graphs
- generated by Mathematica 2.1.
-
- 1) The graphs are generated by Mathematica 2.1 on a Macintosh IIci running
- System7.0.1.
- 2) Graphs are pasted into a MSWord5.1 document on the same Mac, via two ways;
- a) Clipboard
- b) PICT/EPS file generated by "Convert Clipboard" menu in Mathemtatica.
- 3) The documents are printed from MSWord5.0 on a MacIIx, to LaserWriter(s)
- over EtherTalk.
-
- Documents do not print, and PrintMonitor complains as follows;
-
- Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: defcurrentpoint
-
- Then, after a while,
-
- A PostScript error has been generated by the LaserWriter Extension file;
- The document is O.K., but can not be printed.
-
- Is it the bug on Mathematica, MSWord5.0, or LaserWriter printer
- driver? Is it insufficient memory in the LaserWriter(s)? Or else?
-
- Any constructive comment is greatly appreciated. I prefer direct email
- responses, but posting to comp.sys.mac.system is good.
-
- Different platforms use different line terminations. When you move
- a PS file from a Mac to a PC you need to convert control-M to
- control-M followed by control-J. Otherwise you loose the line separation
- and `def' runs into `currentpoint'. Most software for moving files
- between platforms gives you an option to make the translation.
-
- This should be in the FAQ...
