- I would like to ask the Net how to maintain and distribute Mac passwords
- throughout and internet of Macs. I tried using aliases to a server's Users
- and Groups file but of course it doesn't work. Each mac has an owner, so
- coping the U & G file doesn't work either.
-
- We have a several labs (connected via a GatorBox IP tunnel) with a total of
- 40 macs on ethernet and appletalk all running system 7. If we open our net
- to the world via ARA, FTPd, more tunnels, and slip access, some security is
- required.
-
- It seems to me that a user should be able to change his or her password
- while sitting at any mac or having connected to any mac. The problem then,
- is how to take notice of, and distribute this change.
-
- any suggestions, thoughts, anecdotes?
