- I would think that this would depend on how much future the Macintosh has.
- IMHO, the Macintosh is nearing the end of it product life-cycle (remember
- "Apple II Forever"?). I for one am looking forward to migrating ASAP to a
- PowerPC running Pink. My impression is that the plan is to convert the entire
- Macintosh line to PowerPC hardware within about two years. Maybe it will still
- be called a "Macintosh" and can run existing Mac software through emulation
- and/or native primary toolbox calls. But I assume it will also run Pink.
- Given the choice of using the existing (and increasingly) kludgey toolbox calls
- vs working with a truly OOP, truly multitasking, protected mode operating
- system, which would you choose?
