- There's an Open Documents With Ruler command that you have to use
- the Commands command to get to (at least initially). I'll assume
- no knowledge of how to do this, so here's the whole thing:
-
- Assuming you're using the default Word Settings (4) file, choose
- Commands... from the Edit menu. This will bring up a dialog with
- *all* the Word commands in a scrolling list. Scroll down to Open
- Documents With Ruler. From here, you can either (1) click Do It,
- which will dismiss the dialog and leave that option on, or (2)
- click Add To Menu which will add it to the default Format (i
- think) menu or to a menu you choose. This is what I do. You are
- then left with a menu item of Open Documents With Ruler, which you
- can check and uncheck at will in one step.
-
- That should do it. Hope it helps.
