  10. I am having a big problem with my secretary's Mac, and our
  11. systems department doesn't seem to have a clue (what else is
  12. new?)...

  14. The Machine:

  16. Mac IIsi
  17. 5 megs RAM
  18. 40 meg hard disk
  19. Radius portrait monitor (which flips into landscape if you want)
  20. 68881 fpu
  21. ethernet connection
  22. system 6.0.8

  24. The probem:

  26. This only occurs for Microsoft Excel 3.0.  When you click
  27. on the menu bar, the menu choices do not appear.  The program
  28. appears to function normally and all of the hot-keys seem
  29. to work.

  31. I have re-installed the system several times.  I have checked
  32. for virii with SAM.  I have used Norton utils 2.0 and checked
  33. the entire disk for any abnormalities.  Nothing seems to help.
  34. Switching back to a bare bones 6.0.7 seems to work, however,
  35. up until today, she had been using 6.0.8 with no problems at
  36. all.

  38. Any ideas?  Shall I sprinkle a few drops of chicken's blood 
  39. on the cpu and hope for the best? :-/
