- I told stories about this same dealer, many years ago, on a local Mac BBS.
- Back then they lied and tried to cheat me on warranty service. Their
- response? They tried to browbeat the sysop and force him to either remove me
- and my messages or face a lawsuit for libel or slander. He stood his ground
- on free speech rights, and they backed down. I still have these particular
- message threads archived, btw.

- Anyway, I've since been in touch with the Apple Customer Assistance Center
- regarding this issue of installing NuBus cards. They assure me that, unless
- the manufacturer of the expansion board specifically requires dealer
- installation, customer installation will _not_ void the warranty of the
- computer.

- So I filed a formal complaint against the dealer. What the hell. As Peter
- knows, they deserve it.
