- I didn't see the original question, but if you are looking for unattended
- power up/power down, then PowerKey and PowerKey remote does what you want. It
- is only available for North America power (120VAC/60Hz) and they have no plans
- to add functionality for other power systems (I work in an engineering center
- that recommends this kind of thing worldwide to our field organization - if
- you discover something similar that works outside North America, I'd
- appreciate being informed of it). PowerKey consists of a "power-strip" type
- thing with 4 AC outlets and an ADB connector. When you push the mac's power
- on key, everything on this strip is activated. It also has a builtin line
- conditioner/spike filter. It comes with software (QuicKeys2 Lite) to let you
- schedule the startup/shutdown stuff (that's right, you can schedule a
- startup!). If you add PowerKey Remote, you get the capability to startup your
- mac with an incoming phone call. I have more info if you want it.
