  12. Any help on this question will be greatly appreciated.

  14. My pc is connected to the net but a friend's mac isn't.  I would like to
  15. download various mac binaries from the net and transfer them to the
  16. friend's mac.  I suppose I can do a binary transfer from the archives
  17. and get the binaries in a diskette on the pc, but then I would have to
  18. translate them to a mac format so that the friend's mac can read them.
  19. Is this correct?

  21. I also suppose that I would need some decompression software for the mac
  22. because most binaries in archives are compressed with some form or
  23. another.  But still, these decompression utilities have to travel the
  24. same path, namely: from the net to my pc and then to the friend's mac.

  26. I'm only familiar with the pc world and I don't know if the same compression
  27. methods are used for mac files too, like the .zip method.  But I can get
  28. info on mac decompression software if and when I need it, through the net.
  29. The important thing is to transfer whatever file I get from the pc to the
  30. mac.  Do you know how I can accomplish this?
